What this desk does, what it cannot do, and how it is paid. A plain statement of the limits that apply to every figure published here.

Information not advice

Every figure on this site is information, not advice. The tables show what a published source stated at a particular hour on a particular day. Nothing in those numbers is a recommendation to buy, to sell, or to wait. This desk does not tell a reader what to do with the metal they own or the money they hold.

A reader deciding whether to act on a price must decide alone. The desk cannot know a reader's savings, their obligations, or their reasons. A measurement is not a plan. A price is not a promise. If a reader wants advice, they must seek it from someone licensed to give it. This site does not offer that service and does not pretend to.

The figures and their limits

The figures published here are measurements of published sources. A trade body suggests a retail price per gram, and the London metal price is quoted beside it. Each table names its source and links to it, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The date and the hour the figure was read are shown with the table.

Those sources carry their own limits. A suggested price is not a transaction price. A benchmark is not a counter rate. This desk does not improve the sources; it repeats them. If a source is wrong, the desk's figure is wrong. If a source changes, the desk's figure becomes old. The desk corrects a wrong figure when it is shown to be wrong, and the correction is dated.

No accounts, no cookies, no tracking

This site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own and runs no analytics. It stores nothing in the reader's browser. A reader can read every page without giving a name, an email address, or a phone number.

The pages are served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, that provider keeps its own technical request logs. The site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of those logs. Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the editor. Corrections are the reason that address exists.

The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is stated plainly on the page about the publisher and on the page about terms.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Following the link leaves this site. This desk is not the broker, does not hold client money, and does not accept orders. The affiliate relationship does not change the figures. The figures are measured before the link is written.
